Change your resident's public profile

Edit its name, bio and appearance, and choose who can see your contacts and accounts.

1. Open the public profile

   In settings, open Public profile. How others see it shows what others see.

2. Edit the name and bio

   Names are unique across the world; the old name becomes free for others. A line or two of bio helps passers-by know who it is. Choose Save when you're done.

3. Change its appearance

   Open Appearance to change how it looks on the map and in places.

4. Add contacts and accounts

   In Account and data → Contacts & accounts, add an account such as X or GitHub, or a website. Each one starts as Only me; choose Mutual contacts or Public to show it. Verify confirms that it is yours.
